Job Description

Senior DevOps Engineer sought by Vertafore, Inc. in Denver, CO

Job Responsibilities

Build continuous delivery infrastructure and processes for each of our products utilizing state-of-the-art technologies. Work on architecture and design of the frameworks for the automated continuous deployment of application code. Perform operational monitoring and care of the infrastructure and software platforms. Serve as the liaison between the agile development teams, SaaS operations, and external cloud providers for deployment, operational efficiency, security, and business continuity. Help lead the planning and implementation of a data center migration to AWS. Act as a deployment engineer on a rotating basis with your colleagues. Support and maintain our development tooling and related infrastructure. Write automated tests across applications and infrastructure to validate functionality that run continuously. Work across teams to integrate, configure, manage, and support production systems. Install and maintain application middleware with Chef or similar technologies. Job is remote and may be performed anywhere in the continental United States. Employee may reside anywhere in the continental United States.

Position requires a bachelor's degree (or a foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field. Requires 4 years of experience using AWS (Amazon Web Services); 4 years of experience using Linux; 2 years of experience using Terraform; 2 years of experience using CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment); and 2 years of experience using Kubernetes. All required experience may have been gained concurrently.

Commission plans are tailored to each sales role but common components include quota, MBO's and ABPMs. Salespeople receive their formal compensation plan within 30 days of hire.
