The Global Customer Experience (GCX) team at Stanley Black and Decker is looking for a Sr. Copywriter to support multiple brands under the Global Tools and Storage business. Ideal candidates have a portfolio of work containing a wide range of voice, clients and technique.
This person will work both independently and as a collaborator within the creative team. This person must possess exceptional writing skills, with the ability to contribute to creative development for a wide range of communications including digital ad campaigns, SEO meta data descriptions, website and landing page content, and email marketing to support brand initiatives and new product launches. This person must be well versed in setting brand standards, tone-of-voice and writing to a number of diverse channels including print, video and digital.
Lead and collaborate with creative team members to determine the conceptual and copy direction of our brand and product marketing initiatives.
Establish a consistent brand voice/tone throughout all digital marketing initiatives across web, mobile, email, and social, video, radio and print channels.
Participate in creative concepting and collaborate with strategists, designers, and videographers
Translate brand creative direction and copy points into engaging and effective writing concepts
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, brand strategists, digital marketers and designers to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style
Oversee range of copy across multiple outlets including website merchandising, in-store merchandising, email, social posts, video scripts, and literature to ensure consistency
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism or other related field
5+ years professional experience writing in the marketing space
Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of voices and styles for a variety of projects with diverse audiences
Exceptional spelling, grammar and attention to detail
Experience with campaign development and creative execution
Experience with Ecommerce content - with the ability to seamlessly incorporate SEO keywords
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse writing demands
Excellent interpersonal interactions with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties.
Prior advertising/marketing agency experience a plus
