Commodity Management

  • Lead the collaborative strategic sourcing effort for responsible commodity by identifying the relevant sourcing strategies and procurement processes in support of cost reduction goals.  Conduct market research and analysis in order to assess supplier risks and opportunities.  Lead the effort of implementing the outcome of sourcing efforts at all levels of the organization including the successful introduction of new suppliers or processes.  Lead supplier relationship development program.   Develop performance monitoring systems and monitor supplier performance to ensure that agreement terms and conditions are being met or exceeded.  Maintain the position of primary contact for the resolution of supplier performance issues.  Required skills include:
  • Ability to work autonomously with moderate management oversight
  • Financial analysis skills including ability to assess supplier proposals and understanding of supplier cost structure
  • Knowledge of RFI, RFQ, RFP processes and requirements
  • Knowledge of indirect/non-trade commodities with an emphasis ontemporary employment, contractors, outsourcing, and consulting.
  • Development and execution of negotiation strategy
  • Advancedproject management skills including the ability to assess required resources and critical path timeline
  • Ability to assess suppliers against their contractual commitments and develop performance improvement plans for those not meeting commitments
  • Ability to lead a cross functional team
  • Change management skills
  • Ability to interface and make proposals to executive leadership
  • Demonstrated history of developing positive relationships with key internal stakeholders and executives in order to expand scope of Sourcing projects.

 

 

 

Contracts Management

  • Lead development ofcontractual terms and conditions to formalize supplier and Ingram Micro commitments.
    • Ability to work autonomously with moderate management oversight
    • Ability to draft language to achieve stated objectives
    • Contract knowledge including understanding of standard terms and clauses as well as ability to assess riskassociated with supplier proposed mark-ups

 

 

III.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

 

 

  • BA/BS Degree
  • MBA (preferred)
  • 10years business experience.  Familiarity with working in a high-volume, highly dynamic rapid paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skillsin a professional manner to all levels of management
  • Ability to make recommendations, gain agreement and implement solutions on behalf of a diverse organization.
  • A moderate to complexlevel of knowledge in:
    • Spreadsheets - Excel - writing macros, developing formulas, using functions such as pivot and lookup tables
    • Database - MS Access - multi-table queries, report generation, macros, forms
    • Word Processing - MS Word
  • Ability to work with intermediate to senior level internal associates.
  • A moderate to complex level of financial analysis knowledge.
  • Moderately complex modeling and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work under moderate supervision and guidance at a moderately stable pace.
  • Ability to take some leadership role with peers, lower level analysts, and on project teams.
