What is expected of you for success in your role

  • Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of best practices and the industry and thorough knowledge of CareFusion solutions, including Medication dispensing solutions and Infusion/Alaris System solutions
  • Evaluates current state against multiple function/discipline best practices
  • Identifies interdependencies among current practices
  • Effectively interprets complex customer needs and recommends specific CareFusion solution(s)
  • Serves as an experienced communicator and collaborator with stakeholders (internal and external) to drive alignment on recommendations and proposed solutions


  • Provides clinical support for sales, field implementation and marketing teams that support Pyxis medication dispensing solutions and Alaris System/infusion solutions,
  • Provides pre-sales work flow analysis of existing processes within the Medication Management System. Identifies current areas of inefficiencies, patient/provider safety concerns, lost revenue, and potential drug diversion opportunities encompassing all medications, oral solids and IVs. Performs work flow redesign with identified automation solutions/IV infusion solutions to facilitate achievement of best practices.
  • Provides consultation as to positioning of CareFusion products to support efficient workflow and current and anticipated clinical needs.
  • Performs follow-up Medication Management System/Infusion Management reviews to determine system optimization and customer value realization
  • Guides customers post installation in evaluation of current system practices, develops action plan to assure system optimization and facilitates successful implementation of action items.
  • Identifies customers who demonstrate best practices and works with them to produce testimonials, white papers and peer-reviewed published articles and presentations.
  • Identifies and shares clinical best practices to help achieve the highest possible levels of patient and caregiver safety and product utilization.
  • Collaborates with Customer Service Operations teams to coordinate installations of dispensing equipment.
  • Functions as the voice of the Customer.
  • Collaborates and builds synergistic relationships with Sales Account Executive, Product Managers, Product Research and Development teams, Interface Teams, Implementation & Support teams, Customer Advocacy, and Training.
  • Serves in leadership capacity to provide clinical guidance for new product development and software enhancements to assure adherence to current healthcare and regulatory standards as well as assure enhanced customer satisfaction
  • Encourages customers to submit suggestions and participates in product development teams.

• Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the medication management system including pharmacy and nursing workflows

• Demonstrates knowledge of Alaris Infusion System and Pyxis Medication solutions with ability to recommend appropriate solution to meet customers goals and vision

• Demonstrates knowledge of CareFusion family of solutions with ability to recommend appropriate solution to meet customers goals and vision

• Demonstrates leadership and flexibility in meeting customers’ needs

• Demonstrates ability to adapt medication management system reviews to meeting customers’ needs

• Strategically works with sales and operations organizations to prioritize opportunities

• Demonstrates initiative in providing clinical guidance for new product development, ongoing evaluation of measurements and educational tools.

• Mentors internal staff regarding best demonstrated practices

• Significantly assists in driving customer satisfaction of new products and services

• Initiates discussion to obtain in-depth customer feedback for product and service improvement opportunities


• Advanced degreerequired

Current licensure as a Pharmacist

• 10-15years of experience in an acute care hospital environment.

• Management experiencerequired

• Experience with medication automated dispensing cabinets required.

• Experience with managing Infusion system with safety software/dose error reduction software preferred

• Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills.

• Requires excellent critical thinking, problem resolution abilities and strong technical skills.

• 70% travel and flexible working hours are required, including nights and weekends.

• Field based, working from home office.
