The Senior Clinical Informatics Education Adminstrator reports to the Team Lead, Clinical Informatics Training and is resposible for monitoring the ongoing functionality of the Web based training (WBT) platform. This includes the continual development, enhancement and implementation of educational programs and procedures to ensure optimal efficiency thus meeting educational objectives. Responsible for maintaing optimal functioning of the WBT platform

This position is accountable for providing educational needs analysis, developing educational courses and materials, and delivering training programs (such programs being complex and comprehensive), with respect to business and clinical applications that enable BH employees/affiliates to use enterprise network solutions to accomplish their tasks effectively and efficiently. These functions are performed in accordance with Baystate Health’s philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.

The incumbent in this position may be required to monitor daily work of others, junior members of the team, assisting with the development and refinement of required skills as directed by the Team Lead. What You Will Do: 

The successful candidate will demonstrate mastery of adult learning theories, be highly skilled in the utilization of instructional design methodologies that integrate adult learning principles to develop highly effective training programs.

Through a highly collaborative internal consulting role, the successful Senior Clinial Informatics Educational Administrator will ensure the evidence based training programs help to achieve organizational goal and objectives.

Course development and review will encompass classroom, OJT and web-based events.  Delivers pilot classes to test and evaluate curriculum and completes special projects as assigned to further advance departmental objectives.

Working with a wide range of entities within Baystate Health, the SeniorEducational Administrator will work to identify both current and future training needs and objectives; developing detailed plans to help meet both.

The candidate will lead or participate in projects designed to improve training and learning by helping to establish organizational standards, assist in performing up-front

He/she will fully leverage the use of available learning and web-based technology to ensure the right solution is delivered to the right learner at the right time.

Designs, creates and executes reports to monitor educational compliance and completion on a regularly scheduled interval and Ad hoc for management utilization.

PROCESS DEVELOPMENT: Consistently develops and organizes multiphase planning processes in collaboration with the project’s Executive Sponsor(s) and team.

PROCESS MANAGEMENT: Demonstrates ability to independently manage projects, which includes monitoring process dynamics and progress across operational departments, recognizing when a project is deviating from schedule or plan and initiating changes to bring it back on course.

Demonstrates knowledge of planning methodologies and relationship management.

STRATEGIC THINKING: Demonstrates ability to formulate and advance strategic recommendations in collaboration with project’s executive leadership.  Identifies unrecognized System needs and considers potential consequences.

He/she will foster a positive team learning environment by sharing acquired knowledge with other members of the training team in the areas instructional design and delivery.  Stays abreast of the training industry (including Adult Learning, Instructional Design and Performance Improvement) in order to provide clients with learning leadership, being aware of most current learning trends and tools available.

Continually updates training team’s knowledge and skills through interviews, formal and informal education, hands-on work, and review of industry literature and various web sites.

Performs the role of EHR Superuser. Works with internal I&T, EHR and WBT vendors to ssist management and staff with issues and optimization

Grants appropriate user security to WBT

What You Will Need:  

Minimally Required Education: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education:  Master's Degree

Minimally Required Experience: 6-8 years education experience utilizing Instructional Design methodology, development of web based training courseware, and authoring required.  3-5 years project management experiencerequired. Expertise in Microsoft Office required. Experience with course development tools required (Lectora, FireFly, Camtasia, or similar products)

Preferred Experience:  Clinical experiencepreferred
