Job Description : Responsible for algorithm development, modeling, system simulation, implementation and verification for embedded Navigation systems with emphasis on military GPS receivers.

This Sr. Chief Scientist role will participate in product development process including structured requirements, modeling and simulation, algorithm development, co-simulation, HW and SW trades, processor selection, documentation and systems design reviews. Support proposal preparation, systems engineering cost estimation, and presentation of assigned tasks for internal and external customers. Assist with managing systems engineering activity to budget and schedule.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience : Position requires a Bachelor or Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline, and a minimum of 20 years overall professional experience, and a passion to pursue a career with L3Harris. Graduate degree or higher a plus.

  • Ideal candidates will recently have 12+ years of experience with navigation systems with emphasis in embedded systems.
  • Must have some experience in requirements development and management.
  • Knowledge or successful use of architectural frameworks, object oriented programming, requirements management, signal processing, electronic engineering and/or RF designs.
  • Requires a strong math background with a desired knowledge of Kalman filters, covariance analysis, digital/analog signal processing and external navigation sensor fusion.

Special Requirements: Active Security Clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to DoD classified information.
