The Associate Technical Marketing Engineer role is primarily responsible for driving all technical activities related to Infoblox security products and services as well as integrating Infoblox products with various security eco-system vendors. This includes writing technical collateral such as deployments guides, solutions notes & architecture documents, creating compelling demo videos, collaborating with technology partners, testing and evaluating competitive products and working with Product Management/Product Marketing/Engineering. The role will also involve other technical marketing activities such as scripting, working with the REST API, presenting at various Infoblox user groups as well as major industry trade shows.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Infoblox security products and SaaS offerings
  • Drive technical integration of Infoblox security products with various security vendors
  • Utilize solid technical background in network security
  • Collaborate with Product Management to create product technical customer value propositions
  • Partner with development teams and marketing managers on product launch materials
  • Create technical training materials for system engineers and professional services
  • Develop compelling product demos
  • Deliver customer facing presentations as well as show demos to customers and partners
  • Help customers build a proof of concept lab environment to conduct product evaluation
  • Write technical blogs and though leadership content
  • Develop deployment guides, solution notes and architecture documents

Requirements:

  • Experience with IP networking, switches/routers, firewall, malware and IDS security
  • Experience working with DNS/DHCP/IPAM products such as Alcatel Vital QIP, BlueCat, Efficient IP, Nominum, SolarWinds or Network Automation Products is a plus
  • Experience with virtualization (ESXi and Hyper-V) and public cloud (Azure, AWS, Google) is desired
  • Software development experience using Unix-shell (e.g. bash), PowerShell, Perl, Python, Java, C++, JavaScript (and other programming languages) is highly desirable
  • Experience in SQL, REST API, and HTML is desirable
  • A self-starter with ability to do technical evaluation and integration with minimum oversight
  • Ability to produce quality material
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Prior experience as Technical Marketing Engineer/Technical Sales Engineer/ Network IT Professional is a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer-related fields, or equivalent work experience
  • A recent network security certification is highly desirable
