Our Opportunity:

Schwab’s Office of the CTO is embarking on a journey to ensure that non-functional requirements are being included within the SDLC To accomplish this, we require Business Intelligence /Reporting to be established that will provide related information extracted from various tools and systems (including tools in the Atlassian stack) to the Definition of Done team. The reports need to help us determine that delivery teams are in compliance with regard to the inclusion of needed non-functional requirement (prior to release). The reports and data need to be reliable and timely so IT management can make timely and informed code delivery decisions. We leverage close, collaborative working relationships with our technical and business partners to apply technology solutions to a wide array of business and SDLC process problems. The organization also plays a key role in data stewardship and information management at Schwab.

What you’ll do:

  • Be responsible for all phases of business intelligence/report development and information delivery
  • Gather process requirements, perform data analysis, interface design, programming, testing, documentation, maintenance and technical project management
  • Support the very diverse BI needs of our Advisor Services enterprise

What you have:

  • An undergraduatedegree in Engineering, Information Management, Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years experience as a BI/Report Developer or Systems Analyst/Programmer
  • Experience with the Atlassian tools stack
  • Exceptional coding skills including the ability to write complex SQL freehand and understand complex legacy SQL
  • Passion for data and writing production code to that brings data to life
  • Solid understanding of data modeling principles
  • Experience writing detailed business requirements, functional specifications or technical requirements
  • Experience with various BI/report delivery platforms and tools Drives projects to successful completion
  • Must be a critical thinker and solutions-oriented
  • Quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies
  • Experience interfacing with internal business partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works well in cross-functional teams
