Essential Functions

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr. Business Analyst strives to drive continuous improvements in the company's business processes via technology while serving as a liaison between the business functional teams and the IT team. This role collaborates with the functional business process owners to identify, design, develop, implement and operationalize process changes that will support business initiatives, streamline process and maximize customer satisfaction. This person will also lead or participate in projects to upgrade or replace existing business system applications solutions.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with functional process owners to evaluate business needs and requirements, identify functional and operational gaps and prioritize improvement opportunities.

• Design, develop and implement process improvements and business system enhancements that close identified gaps, add business value and maximize customer satisfaction.

• Provide support for the implementation of existing enterprise system platforms to new business units or locations

• Devise, build, execute and maintain documented end-to-end test plans for new or enhanced application functionality. Coordinate and actively participate in the testing efforts with end users utilizing the test scenarios and scripts that have been developed.

• Prepare functional specification documents to effectively communicate identified business requirements to the appropriate IT development team.

• Develop end user training materials and provide orientation and end user training for all new or enhanced business processes and application functionality.

• Mentor and develop subject matter experts (SME's) at various business sites to provide local support for post implementation incidents and requests.

• Provide support for the implementation of existing enterprise system platforms to new business units or locations

• Act as a liaison between the functional business, business systems, support and global process lead teams

• Responsible for the quality and safety of own work and compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Required: Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Minimum of five years relevant experience including experience working with ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems and Warehouse Control Systems. Direct experience supporting application end-users in a manufacturing / distribution business environment.

Preferred:

Exposure to ManMan & Manhattan with solid understanding of the core applications functionality and underlying data structure. Experience with end-to-end implementation of a larger scale system(s) would be beneficial.
