Position manages and coordinates activities concerning the billing platform including but not limited to: researching functionality inquiries, managing enhancement requests, and providing support for billing system releases and upgrades. This position also assists the Billing Operations Management team by compiling data and producing reports to monitor SLA adherence, track departmental activity and recommend process improvements. This position has extensive interaction with Charter personnel, billing vendors, and other external contacts.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply knowledge of the billing platform and products.
Utilize knowledge of Charter services and products.
With limited direction, maintain and perform updates to parameters on the billing platform (production, training and test). Review and validate parameter updates and configuration as required to ensure continuity and system integrity. This includes but is not limited to system parameters, interfaces, and PPV.
Research and respond to internal customer requests.
Provide overall billing platform interface support (may include on call rotation involvement).
Support testing efforts in the test environment.
Support testing for enhancements prior to implementation to ensure daily operations are not adversely impacted.
Assist with troubleshooting interface issues.
Perform research and respond to inquiries from all areas of the organization.
Participate in billing system release/upgrade activities and assume a support role for scheduled releases.
Maintain and perform updates and configuration as required to support external applications as needed.
Troubleshoot interface issues and manage updates between internal application support and the billing vendors.
Validate testing for enhancements prior to implementation to ensure daily operations are not adversely impacted.
Lead Technical Initiateves for Billing Operations Team and supporting Billing Operations management.
Provide executive level reporting and dashboards as needed.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned by management.
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
5-10 years of Billing System platform experience including but not limited to: parameter entry, security, and product and pricing structure.
Fundamental understanding of billing platform workflows, interfaces and related functionality.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities.
Demonstrable research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work within a fast paced, high change environment to meet timelines.
5-7 years of experience related to database reporting tools, Macros, queries, SQL and Microsoft Office products
Be a consistent high team performer. Assume a mentorship role with other team members as needed to share knowledge and contribute to the fulfillment of departmental goals.
Have an extended knowledge base of the biller ranging, but not including taxation, cards, provisioning, payments, other department processes, etc.
ICOMS/CSG knowledge Required

Knowledge of cable television industry
Bachelor's degree in IT or related field is preferred from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
