The ideal applicant must be able to think both critically and quickly on his/her feet. He/she must be able to take depositions, and go to court and effectively argue. It is also imperative that he/she is an outstanding researcher, both legal and otherwise, and must be able to write well. He/she needs to be a self-starter who does not require hand-holding.
Applicants without several years of litigation and courtroom experience need not apply. More often than not, Liggio Law is ?David against Goliath? taking on large corporations and teams of attorneys. The practice includes insurance disputes of all types, class actions, bad faith, and an increasing emphasis on consumer matters, commercial torts, and fraud cases.
We still handle some personal injury matters (no products, no med mal, no nursing home), but it is a small percentage of our caseload. This is not your typical law firm. What you will not find at Liggio Law is red-tape, office politics, or power struggles; instead, you would be joining a small, collaborative practice with lots of outside the box thinking to create solutions to complex litigation issues.
