Design, develop and maintain IBM Datapower and APIC service components.
Configure and administer IBM API Connect and IBM DataPower appliances.
Design multiple services based on different standards for REST, web services, data integration techniques, messaging, and transformation engines and non-standard services (APIs).
Present architecture and design to necessary stakeholders, as required.
Maintain working knowledge of API management platforms and API related activities; requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, resource-based API modeling, micro-services architecture.
Maintain knowledge of API design standards, patterns, and best practices.
Document/generate API specifications for multiple consumers and make sure that integration is seamless across the board.
Partner with Enterprise Architecture and Middleware Development teams to identify and execute overall architecture and design of API Connect and DataPower environments
Support the full SDLC of Datapower/APIC components like Proxy Services, Crypto Profiles, Multi-protocol gateway, xsl transformations, rules, protocol transformations.
Drive solution development through requirements gathering, analysis, discovery, business plan creation, and solution level of effort estimates
Create end-to-end integration solutions development for enterprise software or hosted high tech services.
Maintain working knowledge of API security standards and implementation (Oauth 2.0, OpenID, JSON, Web Token, JOSE, x509 certificates); Maintain knowledge of API security certification, authentication, authorization, IP security setup, and endpoint configuration
Provide 3rd tier support for production systems.
Provide administrative and development support for IBM’s API Connect and DataPower appliances located on premise in a multi-tiered environment.
Support code deployments and configuration changes to production and non-production systems, following established procedures.
Provide general guidance and mentoring for team members on designing and implementing integration solutions based on middleware platforms
Bachelor’s Degree required, master’s degree is preferred.
8 years of experience in application development.
4+ years of extensive experience in configuration and administration of IBM DataPower and IBM APIM/APIC Appliances.
2+ years of experience in designing standards based API specifications and managing API lifecycle using Swagger or related tools.
Develop and Troubleshoot message translation related issues while communicating with backend (JSON to SOAP / SOAP to JSON).
Expertise in troubleshooting DataPower, channels, listeners, ntercommunications (TCP/IP) and triggering.
Experience in initializing/setup of IBM DataPower SOA appliances.
Perform administrative tasks on IBM DataPower configuration, Interface design, development, maintenance and administrative activity.
Working knowledge of general security concepts (Authentication, Authorization, Encryption, Digital signatures), PKI concepts, and TLS.
Good troubleshooting skills with overall knowledge on Datapower features/concepts.
Experience working with SOAP/REST based Web Services.
Performs application deployments to test, integration, and production environments per established change management procedures.
Strong UNIX/LINUX experience.
The candidates should have a strong focus on IBM Datapower and would require extensive knowledge of various integration patterns and security standards, best practices, hands-on experience with administration and management of Datapower along with strong XSLT development skills.
Programming experience in Oracle SOA platform is a plus.
