Designs, implements and maintains moderately complex databases for assigned department.
-Must have a Bachelor's degree in a Health related field or Management Information Systems.
-Prefer a Master's degree in a related field.
-Must have four years of experience in the design and maintenance of databases, to include the analysis of related data.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience:
-May have an equivalent combination of education and/or related experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.
Skills or Special Abilities:
-Must be able to successfully pass the Standard-level Microsoft Access test, as established by Workforce Planning & Recruitment, with a minimum score of 80%.
-Must be able to successfully pass the Standard-level Microsoft Excel test, as established by Workforce Planning & Recruitment, with a minimum score of 80%.
-Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of database structures and design, data validation, queries, analytics, concepts, practices, and reporting and documentation.
-Must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
-Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and be able to prepare complex reports and graphs.
-Must have strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be detail oriented and a quick learner. Must have the ability to spot trends, ensure data accuracy, and make sense of complex datasets.
-Must be results driven, have a strong sense of urgency, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be flexible in prioritizing projects and tasks to ensure maximum productivity while meeting deadlines.
-Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of data evaluation and validation methods, including research, spreadsheet and database design skills.
-Must be able to demonstrate abilities in advanced data management and analysis programming using software such as Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and native programming tools embedded within MS Excel and MS Access.
-Must be able to demonstrate skills in other current Microsoft Office software including Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
-Prefer a working knowledge of Seagate Crystal Reports and Microsoft SQL.
