SQL Server Database Administrator
Join an industry leader where you will be the sole, dedicated Database Administrator. This position offers high visibility and control over your day to day responsibilities. You will be required to keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users. The Database Administrator works to maintain the efficiency of the servers and will ensure data security to help maintain the integrity of sensitive business data.
? Implement, configure, and troubleshoot database instances, replication, backup, partitions, storage, and access.
? Set user privileges within the database environment.
? Monitor and optimize system performance using index tuning, disk optimization, and other methods.
? Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain a database system.
? Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users.
? Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards.
? Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
? Maintain database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required.
? Act as software engineer backup resource when necessary, providing basic support for coding, testing, and implementation of custom software applications.
? 3 to 5years of experience as a MS SQL DBA including data backup, recovery, security, integrity.
? Experience with SSRS, table indexing, views, backups, SQL server log reviews, error corrections, database creation/changes, and scheduled replication of databases.
? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and assistance.
? Bachelor?s degree in a computer discipline OR relevant certification
? Preferences: C#, Azure SQL
