In this role, you will have the distinct opportunity to test your skills acquired to date, in one of the fastest paced environments and development life cycles you may have encountered.  On a daily basis, you will be developing advanced SQL Server Integration Services packages and frameworks, writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing advanced T-SQL routines and ORM generated query loads, and converting product and business requirements into data control and workflow designs.  At times, this role will allow you to advance yourself by taking on SQL Server Administation tasks by assisting the rest of the Data Team in ongoing performance and architectural evolutions.  Those evolving tasks include consuming cloud technologies to the fullest of their capabilities to allow for product life cycle and product scalability to rise to a new level.

The skills you should have

  • Strong knowledge and experience working with SQL Server, ideally with current versions of Microsoft SQL server 2014, SQL Server 2016 and SQL Database (Azure)
  • Experience working on databases that are part of SQL Server Availability Groups
  • Strong skillset in developing SQL Server routines
  • Strong database design and modeling knowledge
  • Ability to work at a rapid pace and quickly converting business requirements to data flow routines
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and engineers to deliver high quality products
  • Troubleshoot and tune complex SQL statements in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with VLDB with tables exceeding 1TB in size
  • Make recommendations on maintenance strategies
  • Experience working in a Cloud Orientated IaaS and PaaS environment desired
  • Make recommendations and cost analysis on legacy schema changes
  • Learn from your peers and share your knowledge with them in a positive, friendly way to promote internal success across all teams
  • Experience in creating SQL Server Integration Services packages
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills that result in clear technical execution
  • Skill at translating requirements into clean, efficient, quality code
  • Solid communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Desire to learn new skills and grow competencies What you need to have
  • Multi-tenant SAAS experience is desirable
  • Task estimation and risk assessment skills
  • Willingness to meet the needs of 24x7 environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Self-starter that can work well in a team environment
  • Must be detail oriented, ability to multi-task
