Centrally located company that is expanding rapidly is looking to add a SQL DBA to their team. This company's growth is being sparked by a new business unit.
Installation, Administration and Maintenance of SQL Server Instances and apply service packs.
Setup Test, Development, Staging and Production Environments
Create Users and assign permissions based on the level of database access.
Design database Backup and Restoration Strategy. Monitor these processes regularly.
Be able to recover the databases to a specific point in time as per requested.
Design/setup disaster recovery strategy with Setup High-Availability.
Monitoring and Performance Tuning; Physical Server Level, Database level and query tuning. Such as creating and maintaining indexes memory settings, monitoring CPU usage and Disk I/O activity etc.
Document major changes to the SQL Servers
Ensure the integrity and security of the data.
Provide support to end users and customers with software-related issues or problems as necessary.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Well-developed skills in Database programming language with an emphasis on MS SQL Server (T-SQL), SSIS & ETL Process
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Programmer or DBA in a large corporate environment.
Be able to use the latest versions of: SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS),
Windows Server and Idera SQL Diagnostic Manager
