As a key member of the Sales Team andreporting to theGeneral Sales Manager, the ADESA FieldSales Representative isresponsible for selling a broad range of ADESA specialty wholesale equipment (RV's, boats) acquisition and disposition services to New and Used equipment dealers within a designated territory,

The FieldSales Representativedevelops new and existing dealer relationships in-person and via telephone, as a trusted business partner, assessing the dealers wholesale needs.

Job Description:

Execute ADESA’s Sales strategy within his/her auction market as set forth by the GSM.

Assess territory to craft a well thought out and varied sales plan (prospecting, up-selling and account management) to ensure overall growth in the volume of vehicles purchased from and sold through ADESA sales channels from all current and target accounts.

Leverage all available ADESA dealer facing tools and technology, product and services to create best in class dealer experience.

Drive unwanted and aged inventory to the appropriate ADESA sales channel and coach the dealer on the most effective ways to market that inventory.

Resolve any customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner.  Advise the designated supervisor or GSM of all serious complaints or incidences.

Utilize ADESA’s CRM tool to document sales plan, organize customer contact workflow, track and measure account activity against key success metrics, and log activity.

Perform sale day duties as set forth by the GSM.  This includes, but not limited to, customer service, IF duties, block representation and post sale reports.

Responsible for impacting and achieving overall sales goals. Practice and promote teamwork at all times.  Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.

Monitor all local competition and recommend competitive strategies to manager.

Make sure all Department area conditions do not threaten employee or customer safety.  Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee and customer accidents, injuries, and loss or damage to any property.  Report all incidents immediately.  Practice and instruct all employees in proper loss prevention and reaction procedures.  Report all incidents properly and immediately. 

Educational Requirements and Qualifications

Associates degree or equivalent
• Five (5) to seven (7) years of B2B Sales or Sales Management or equivalent Auction Sales experience
• Territory management experience required
• Proven sales ability with all levels of decision makers
• Success in selling internet/technology based products
• Proven communication and presentation skill
• Strong relationship management expertise
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent networking capabilities
• Thrives in a competitive, fast paced, team environment
• Posses a high level of comfort with technology
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Occasional overnight travelrequired.
