We are seeking a Support Analyst.
The Windows vulnerability remediation program has seen a marked increase in scope, as our supported server count has increased 64% from 12,500 to 20,500 servers. Those additional 8,000 servers equate to an increased vulnerability footprint requiring additional patch cycles while also increasing the number of deployments required and the number of work requests submitted. With ISD's Vulnerability Management 2.0 model released in 2020, there has been an increase in the number of vulnerabilities reported and more stringent classification of new and existing vulnerabilities. This position is vital to the program's ongoing success.
In addition, this Windows System Maintenance role is vital for:
- The Evergreen initiative and server hygiene
- Deploying agents and updated layered software (170,000+ deployments in 2020)
- Fulfil work requests (9,000+ in 2020)
- Assist with emergency patching (CPDs)
- Research and create remediation plans and automation for new vulnerabilities
- Provide US only support for Loan Agency
- Vulnerability reporting
- Weekend support coverage
- Resolving issues caused by patching/reboots
- Work closely with the TSG Vulnerability Management team to address items before they breach SLA
Designs, implements, integrates, and provides full support for software in a multi-tiered, multi-platform environment. Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert. Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup. Works on root cause analysis and problem management to address underlying technical issues. Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders. Monitors infrastructure and respond to incidents, perform routine health checks and validations after changes or significant incidents, follows defined procedures for routine, low priority incident resolution. Escalate to second level infrastructure support for new or high priority incidents, Review and execute Change Management scripts. Contributes to major incident management calls for resolution of high priority incidents.May mentor or provide guidance for junior team members. Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives MODIFIED BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred 6 - 8 years of related infrastructure experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus Qualifications
