Specialist, Business Development
Job Purpose & Responsibilities Job Purpose:
Manages complex accounts and prospects for new business to increase Functional Forms Sheet sales within an assigned territory, focusing on the Aerospace and Rail Markets for Western North America. The candidate must be able to initiate specification development efforts, negotiate prices and contracts with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications, and manage the existing specification base within the assigned territory. This position is responsible for the full sales cycle of Specialty/Sheet products
Manages, develops and grows converter accounts in assigned geography.
Drives sales of product portfolio to emphasize profitable growth of SABIC Functional Forms Mass Transportation products.
Solicits select OEMS in territory to identify new and existing applications where SABIC Sheet and Film products can be positioned.
Assists OEMs in developing applications.
Maintains strong customer relationships with key molder and OEM base.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education
Minimum of seven years sales or marketing experience
Plastics experience preferred
Experience managing and growing market territory
Self-starter with the drive and passion to succeed
Excellent communication and matrix management skills
Sound technical background, with commercial sense to deliver results
Strong Business Acumen
