Primary Duties

The purpose of this role is to lead the Speaker Program team of 3rd party contractors and to manage and oversee all processes and systems related to the planning and execution of regional educational HCP and Patient Programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with business Franchises to understand objectives and develop solutions to successfully execute business priorities for speaker programs
  • Provide oversight and accountability for operationalizing and executing on processes and systems related to the scheduling and coordination of speaker programs, including venue selection, sending invitations, maintaining attendee lists, arranging travel and accommodations, managing program logistics, and processing honoraria/fee for service and expense payments.
  • Manage the 3rd party vendor team including short-and-long-term staffing and resource requirements and annual operating budgets, and ensure all coordinators are effectively trained on all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and any emerging new compliance updates and process enhancements
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Marketing, Legal, and U.S. Compliance teams
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure best practices and solutions are established to meet compliance guidelines and policies, workflow, and logistical execution for programs and intended audience
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of speaker program processes

Education and Experience Requirements

  • BA/BS degree, concentration in business, communications, marketing, operations, meeting planning preferred
  • 5+ years of work experiencerequired, at least 1-2years as a manager with direct reports
  • Prior experience leading teams focused on developing efficient and effective operational processes is required
  • Prior healthcare/pharmaceutical experience is required in Speaker Program and Commercial Compliance
  • Experience working in regulated healthcare operations environment preferred

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with executing implementation of standardized solutions for ensuring compliance to procedural requirements for government reporting- Sunshine Act for Healthcare professionals

  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and execute results within designated timeframes

Quickly assess critical situations and provide direction for issue resolution. For business related decisions he/she consults with the U.S. I&C and Professional Engagement Lead
