Northrop Grumman is seeking a Space craft Operations Manager to join our team supporting a facility in Aurora, Colorado.

This role is for a level 2 functional manager on the RUSHMORE program that will be splitting time between technical program support (80%) and functional responsibilities (20%).

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Technical support will vary based on skills and experience but can include system operational support, troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, cross-system enterprise efforts, and/or software development.
  • May include software systems and programs designed for customers (corporate and individual) and government entities including Jira and Confluence.
  • Functional duties include personnel development, evaluation, staffing, and conflict resolution. Yearly review cycle support, promotions, and equity adjustments will involve close partnerships with program leadership and include cost/budget evaluations.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 9 years related satellite operations experience; 7 years with a Master’s; 4 years with a Ph.D; 13+ years may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Active/Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with a Counterintelligence polygraph to be considered.
  • Leadership and management experience supporting satellite operations & maintenance, design, or testing.
  • Willing and able to support work on a military installation in a 24/7 operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or higher in a STEM degree is preferred.
  • Experience leading technical projects.
  • Launch operations experience.
  • Ground communication systems from the architectural level to the field implementation level.
  • Strong understanding of satellite systems operations/functions and associated internal and external system interfaces.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills working with senior program customers as well as military customers.
  • System Integration experience and knowledge of space ground systems.

Salary Range: $141,100 - $211,700

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
