Job Description:
Work within the Endicott THAAD CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) team representing the customers’ best interests, assuring product quality and effectiveness. The selected applicant will be responsible for the interpretation of contractual requirements and the application of Quality processes. Applicants should have a strong background (both breadth and depth) in implementation and execution of Science of Quality throughout the product lifecycle. 

This position requires strong interpersonal skills that will be used to present critical issues to leadership, influence cross functional groups, and manage customer expectations. The selected candidate will drive business improvements using Six Sigma, Lean and Green Belt/Black Belt methodologies.

Tasks include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships within the Endicott team and functional leadership as well as customers representing various organizations such as BAE Systems Nashua, Lockheed Martin, MDA, TPO and DCMA.
  • Drive critical, high-visibility issues to closure on a daily basis utilizing technical knowledge
  • Lead process improvement teams


Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education:

  • 8 years experience in Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action implementation
  • High computer literacy and proficiency with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing Lean/Six Sigma or other contemporary methodologies and tools for driving continuous improvement
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate technical data
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous leadership experience in manufacturing / planning / scheduling / operations or similar environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team with difficult and demanding customer expectations
  • Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience in the space industry
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Access)


Preferred Skills and Education:

  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships; easy to work with
  • Experienced in writing/approving/executing Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Able to write, interpret, and execute policies and procedures; recommends modifications to operating policies
  • Demonstrated ability to understand drawings, work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), consumable materials control, process disciplines and tool control
  • Ability to lead in a team-based manufacturing environment and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Metrics driven and success oriented
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean/six sigma implementation projects
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)
  • Solid people management and interpersonal skills; uses good judgment to resolve conflict
  • Ability to lead in a team-based manufacturing environment and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Metrics driven and success oriented
  • Experience and expertise in CCA manufacturing
