RGP is a publicly traded professional services firm with a global foot print. We are looking for strong SOX/Audit Professionals to join our accounting and finance team in the San Francisco Bay Area to support our Fortune 500 and late-stage IPO clients.

Responsibilities (may vary from client to client):

  • Collaborate with the client’s senior accounting leadership, internal, and external audit teams to lead, plan, and execute SOX compliance

  • Perform risk assessments and lead program management for SOX compliance for Accounting teams

  • Maintain and improve Accounting SOX process flow charts and relevant SOX documentation to ensure on time delivery with high quality

  • Identify any gaps in internal controls, establish process to communicate gaps to relevant parties and track remediation to closure

  • Design, develop, and implement internal auditing policy and procedures within the client organization ass needed

  • Participate and support in SOX compliance testing performed by internal and external auditors

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance; Masters degreepreferred

  • Professional certifications (CPA, CIA, CFE, etc.) highly preferred

  • Big 4 experiencepreferred

  • 7+ years of progressive auditexperience with a large multinational corporation and/or public accounting firm

  • Strong understanding of COSO guidelines and SOX, US GAAP, IIA, and PCAOB standards

  • Auditing skills with in-depth experience with SOX 404 risk assessment, testing, and internal control evaluation

  • Excellent consulting, influencing, and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate to across all levels of an organization
