Anaplan's Solutions team is looking for a creative Solutions Marketing Manager to help build powerful, compelling stories in a variety of media to diverse audiences about our solutions. Solution Marketers will collaborate with demand generation, marcomm, digital, event marketing, partner marketing, and sales enablement teams to craft sales-focused marketing deliverables that help bring our offerings to life. You will work in close collaboration with our Solutions team to take the core analysis and insights around solution areas and present clear, compelling stories to our field, partners and customers.


Solution Marketers will form a specialized team that works with our Solution Directors and Associates on a variety of activities, including but not limited to:

  • Develop, refine and simplify core storylines
  • Create target personas appropriate to solution areas
  • Craft compelling presentations and written content
  • Improve and create new content formats as appropriate
  • Work with core Marketing and Enablement functions to distribute
  • Collaborate with Partner and Field Marketing on campaign strategies

The Solutions Marketing team offers a great entry point to collaborate with many functions:

  • Direct access to our Sales Leadership Team and Exec Leadership Team to present and discuss messaging and positioning
  • Frequent interactions with Account Executives and Customers to test and deliver pitches
  • Cross-collaboration with corporate, field, partner and brand marketing to align messaging
  • Leverage with Enablement and content teams to distribute at scale


We are looking for candidates from a diverse set of backgrounds that have experience developing stories and producing content to pitch concepts to customers in a sales setting. Strong candidates could come from a consulting, sales consulting (presales) or similar background, or from digital agencies, or from software or SaaS product marketing, brand marketing or sales enablement functions. Candidates should be comfortable being an individual contributor in a production role but also be ready to contribute with impact to strategic discussions and decisions. As a fast growth company, there will be many opportunities to move into other roles throughout the company.

Example backgrounds could include:

  • BA/BS degree in marketing or design
  • 3-5 years in a product marketing or content production role
  • 3-5 years in a SaaS or platform company
  • 3-5 years as a consultant in a digital agency or boutique consulting firm
  • 2-3 years in a B2B sales role

Fundamental B2B sales and marketing knowledge will be crucial for this role. Extended experience in one or more of the following planning areas will be very compelling, but not required:

  • Experience developing or selling solutions in a platform ecosystem
  • Quota carrying sales experience with B2B solutions
  • Product marketing or new product introduction experience


  • Fluent in crafting coherent, easy-to-follow storylines that present complex topics
  • Strong PowerPoint ninja-skills a plus
  • Working graphic design skills for presentation visuals a plus
  • Knowledge of marketing fundamentals, e.g. personas, messaging frameworks, hero journeys, etc.
  • Familiarity with content production best practices
  • Understanding of various functions in a B2B go-to-market organization and the work performed within
  • Rapid comprehension of industry fundamentals and solution value propositions
  • Strong skills on crafting messaging and content with the balance of pragmatism and punchiness that will be adopted by a sales organization
  • Healthy energy and initiative in advocating to an extended team
  • Active personal initiative and efficient time management skills
  • Intellectual versatility to support a variety of solutions across industries and functions
