This role resides within Siemens' Integrated Electrical Systems business segment (IES), reporting to the Aerospace Market Director. IES is a rapidly growing business with an outstanding track record of success. It is poised to benefit from the confluence of the trend toward applying digital technology to improve aerospace & defense industry (A&D) business processes, and the technology breadth of the Siemens' Digital Industry Software group.
The Solutions Architect (SA) is responsible for the whole-product serving the A&D electrical systems product lifecycle.
Collect user needs from the global A&D industry,
Define & recommend development direction,
Plan & communicate the A&D roadmap, internally and to the A&D industry,
Align & influence stakeholders across IES and Siemens DISW (Digital Industry Software) to secure development commitments,
Monitor & report development progress, identifying risks & obstacles and devising mitigation plans.
The SA is also responsible for taking whole product solutions to market.
Package & price new solutions;
Develop and execute launch plans and sales campaigns;
Educate and support sales teams and sales management;
Competitively position these new solutions and communicate this positioning to the A&D industry.
The SA possesses, or will develop, facility with Mentor's Capital tool suite, being capable of demonstrating its competitive differentiators to customers.
The SA works closely with an outstanding, world-wide, interdisciplinary team of professionals, dedicated to open communication and revenue growth. This team spans the functions of product development/engineering, marketing, sales, finance and management.

Mentor seeks an extraordinary, self-driven individual, with the capability and desire to make a significant contribution to the automation and management of the A&D electrical systems lifecycle. Candidates for this position should have a strong understanding of, and experience in, this lifecycle, spanning requirements conception, architectural definition, logical and physical design, harness manufacturing and platform maintenance & upgrade in OEMs and suppliers.
We seek an experienced technical leader with demonstrated success in product marketing and project management and/or platform electrical system engineering.
Experience with the Mentor Graphics' Capital tool suite is preferred. Knowledge of the Challenger sales framework is a plus.
Work experience: A minimum of 10 years in aerospace or defense electrical systems; 5 years in product marketing or hands on electrical systems flow definition and implementation.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; advanced technical degree and/or an MBA desired.
Travel: The scope of this role is global and requires the candidate be capable of international travel. Typical travel required: 30% - 40%.
