Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop targeted solutions to meet utility client needs (both existing and new) and drive growth for Utility Services division
    • Track and analyze market trends
    • Develop partnerships and collaborate on solution development
    • Establish implementation strategy, expected outcomes, and budget / participation targets
    • Support sales and launch / transition efforts
  • Develop and apply expertise in one or more strategic growth areas, including but not limited to electrification, integrated demand/energy resources (IDER), targeted demand-side management, energy management, customer service, engagement and marketing, grid resiliency and management, etc.
  • Identify and support marketing opportunities and efforts to secure new business opportunities for the Company in collaboration with the Business Development and Utility Account Managers, as well as the iEnergy Software team.
    • Assist sales efforts throughout the entire sales lifecycle: Opportunity Identification, Opportunity Qualification, Proposal Development and Proposal Interview
    • Support solution-selling efforts by providing content for pre-sales meetings, proposals, and/or statements of work
    • Develop sales materials, implement market positioning efforts and support go-to-market strategies
    • Provide narrative content, program savings/cost forecasts, and budgets for proposals
    • Support client interviews, contract negotiation, and program launch activities where requested
  • Serve as Internal Consultant to Nexant staff with priority focus on:
    • Education of staff on developed solution(s), market trends, client feedback, and partner/competitor offerings
    • Measurement of organizational health and priorities
    • Develop and advance strategic initiatives to improve employee satisfaction, inspire innovation, reduce attrition, and enhance internal and external perception of Nexant

  • Other duties as directed


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience managing, implementing, or designing energy efficiency or demand response programs on behalf of North American Utilities.
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to support client meetings or design discussions, up to 20% of the time.
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with proven ability to perform market research, data analysis, and consult with both internal/external stakeholders to inform development of strategic initiatives.
