Responsibilities

  • A 100% hands-on job with respect to coding architecture and software design. Full-stack, full software development life-cycle capable of owning a product or application as the top-tier technical resource.
  • A solid troubleshooter with Windows, .Net and SQL Server.
  • Provide solutions and personal guidance to junior- and mid-level developers, including assigning them various tasks when working on your products and applications.
  • Ensure bottom-line results that avoid needing constant attention due to tooling, framework and pattern changes with Microsoft.
  • Produce time-saving architectures, designs, tooling and processes for the group.
  • Produces consistent patterns throughout an application suite and understands the value in strong abstractions techniques.
  • Author troubleshooting procedures, scripts, programs with Windows, .Net, SQL Server and the typical network, security, browser and other environment issues of these technologies.

Qualifications

  • Visual Studio up to 2017, TFS, .Net Framework, C#, T-SQL, javascript, HTML5 and CSS3. Highly preferred: Selenium programming with C#.
  • 6-10+ years of professional full-stack .Net web and business application development, both internal and public-facing applications, preferably strong results in profit-driven over budget-driven IT.
  • Ability to pick-up and support or rewrite legacy Microsoft technologies such as Asp.Net/aspx, WPF and MVC v1 thru 4.
  • HTML5, CSS3, javascript, Ajax, JSON, XML, XHTML, security and performance issues with browsers. Able to build responsive HTML.
  • C#, T-SQL, SQL Server, and Asp.Net MVC. Ability to work with Microsoft technologies like SSIS, ETL, WCF, WPF, etc. are preferred.
  • Self-reliant with TFS including setting up solutions, publishing, CI, branching/merging.
  • Familiarity with agile practices and able to be innovative with processes or productivity tactics.
  • Thinks in terms of automating processes and incrementally building toward that.
  • Thinks in terms of configurable and declarative tactics (but, AOP is not the answer) over imperative and ground-up development for every task.
  • Understanding of multi-tiered architectures and interacting disparate applications scenarios.
  • Passionate for building innovative solutions above-and-beyond status quo results.
  • Knowledge of the public accounting industry and profit-driven SDLC tactics is a huge plus.
