IAI is seeking a Software System Support Engineer to work onsite with one of our IC customers in Reston, VA. 


  • Development and maintenance of a Identity Management solution that uses Postgres and Layer 7 tool sets. 

  • Application interface development (software and User)

  • Maintenance (SW and DB), data labeling, certificate management for a small enterprise network.   

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering field with 10+ years technical/development experience.

  • Experience developing and deploying Java/JEE applications on Linux and Windows environments 

  • Experience with virtualization (e.g. VMWare)

  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL Database or other similar relational databases including data modeling, performance tuning, row level security, and SQL

  • Experience with Java Persistence API (e.g. Hibernate, Eclipselink, OpenJPA) as well as JDBC.

  • Experiencedesigning and developing RESTful/JSON Web Services

  • Experience building Web applications/user interfaces using Angular 4/Angular 4 CLI

  • Proficiency with Web Service Security (JWT, PKI, digital signatures, LDAP)

  • Experience with object-oriented analysis and design techniques

  • Experiencedesigning and implementing Service Oriented Architectures and related technologies

  • Hands-on experience with application of STIGs, Operating System and application lockdowns, accreditation of applications and systems on DoD networks.

  • Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools (e.g. Subversion, Maven, etc)

  • High level of self-motivation, desire to deliver stellar solutions and willingness to work in a distributed team environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities

  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience developing microservices (e.g. JBOSS Wildfly SWARM)

  • Experience with designing scalable and clustered enterprise web applications

  • Experience with Application API Gateways (e.g. CA Technologies Layer 7 API gateway) and WS-Policy based policy and assertion development.

  • Experience with security classification guides and CAPCO guidance.

  • Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Teamcity, Jenkins, etc)


Security Requirements: Active TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance required.
