The Software Support Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining current systems in the technologyportfoliounder the supervision of senior staff. This individual will work as a part of a software support team to provide application support for new features and technologies. The Software Support Engineer will leverage evaluate and learn exciting new technologies that keep our products and teams on the cutting edge. 

Duties and Responsibilities:


Collaborate with cross-functional partners (QA, Business Analyst, Tech Pubs, etc.) in an Agile/Scrum team environment.

Support product features and software solutions within existing applications and new initiatives.

Create design specifications, documentation, and unit testing plans as defined by the Agile development process for minor bug fixes.

Complete support tasks independently as well as under direction from the team leads.

Maintain and support software solutions post-production.

Work closely with other engineers to develop the best process to support our applications and vendor supported products.

Resolve production issues within the agreed time to improve SLAs.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Required working experience with the following: JAVA, Python, MySQL, Linux

Knowledge of the following: MS SQL Server, Oracle (PL/SQL), Visual Basic, Javascript, VB Script, .NET

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
 1+ years of professional experience in software development or technical engineering capacity.
