Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

  • The primary purpose of this position is to drive quality through the entire process with focuses based on functional requirements, efficiency, and methodology.
  • The Quality Assurance Engineer works cross-functionally with operations, data engineers and product owner that program is maintained for optimal business process.
  • This position reports to the Quality Assurance Lead.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Test current processes and identifying deficiencies
  • Investigate program quality in order to make improvements to achieve better data accuracy
  • Understand functional and non-functional requirement and prepare test data accordingly
  • Plan, create and manage the test case and test script
  • As a member in the scrum team of Data Engineers to ensure consistent project execution
  • Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement
  • Oversee continuous improvement projects
  • Execute test script and collect test result
  • Identify key KPIs for program quality
  • Present test case, test result, reports and metrics to Enterprise QA Management
  • Perform duties of QA Engineer when required

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years of Information Technology experience in lieu of degree, High School Diploma/GED and minimum 5 years of IT experience
  • Minimum 3 years in leading and executing QA testing projects
  • Minimum 1 years experience in large-scale, multi platform QA testing initiatives
  • Minimum 2 years experience with software QA methodology and the Test Maturity Model (TMM) including software quality lifecycles, test tools and techniques for verification and validation
  • Knodwledge on Linux, HDFS and SQL
  • Financial Industry or Credit processing experience
  • Experience with working on a geographically distributed team managing onshore/offshore resources with shifting priorities
  • Previous experience working in client facing environment
