Software Performance Algorithm Developer at Mercury Systems in Andover, MA

Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to

work as part of a collaborative product team to design, develop, implement, and test secure processing software in embedded and enterprise secure processing solutions.

You are responsible for

• Implementing new statistical and signal processing algorithms for manufacturing and design implementation/integration verification/validation.
• Optimizing performance of existing Python-based statistical and signal processing software.
• Porting algorithms implemented in interpreted languages (e.g., Python) to performance-optimized C/C++.
• Optimizing performance of C/C++ applications on x86 architectures, including refactoring for multi-threaded execution.
• Collaborating with engineering team to design and develop system architectures.
• Communicating project status and risks to executive team.
• Understanding the main concepts and applications associated with specific specialized company product design.

You are a part of

Mercury's system security engineering team that is focused on embedded and enterprise secure processing solutions. You will be engaged during all phases of the product lifecycle and will have the ability to influence software compatibility and system design decisions as well as the responsibility to design, develop, simulate, test and document algorithms for data processing for systems and products.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

• B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering; Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in algorithmic and/or signal processing software.
• Proficient in Python and C++ including multi-threaded application development.
• Must have or be eligible for Secret Security Clearance.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues to a variety of audiences.
