Apti'v's Safety Electronics group pioneered the sensors, software, and systems that empower Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, and Lane Keeping systems widely available to consumers today; and we continue to stretch the technology envelope with 360-degree sensing and advanced algorithms that are piloting automated vehicles.
The advanced product development team in Agoura Hills is looking for talented engineers to help maintain Aptiv's technological lead in automotive active safety systems and to answer the challenges posed by the increasing demand for more-automated driving.
Selected candidates will develop, and support the processes and tools used to verify and test our assisted/autonomous driving systems. Responsibilities include:
- Write, modify, and document tools for in-vehicle data logging and visualization
- Write scripts and tools for offline data analysis, algorithm validation, and regression testing
- Support vehicle integration, on-road testing, and data collection efforts
- Work with experts in perception, situational awareness, and platform control
- Supportinternal and external customers, world-wide
2-8years of C/C++ programming experience
Familiar with object oriented design, data structures, code optimization
Skilled at understanding, modifying, and debugging existing code
Knack for building intuitive user interfaces
Comfortable working in Windows and Linux
Experience using revision control tools such as Git
Self-motivated, critical thinker with good problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an engineering team setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to multi-task and deliver on challenging software development/software tasks
Familiar with MATLAB, Python, and Visual Basic/Excel
Experience with automotive CAN, FlexRay, and Ethernet communication protocols
Hands-on experience with SIL/HIL tools and methods
Experience in the automotive or aerospace industry
Familiar with statistical data analysis
