Position Summary and Responsibilities

Teledyne Brown Engineering is looking for a Radar Software Engineer to perform duties related to the Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Patriot Air and Missile Defense Radar Surveillance Software. Candidate will review prime contractor software requirements documentation and software and requirements change documentation. Tasks include analysis of contractor Formal Qualification Tests (FQTs), code verification, and the preparation and presentation of independent status briefings.

Travel is required for analysis of Missile Flight Tests (MFTs) and major software test events, as well as program meetings. Analyst will independently test PATRIOT software, review data, and produce test reports. Analyst will also address User action items as required.

Qualifications

Education:

Requires a BS or engineering degree in a program which includes extensive courses in mathematics and/or computer science, plus approximately four years professional experience in computer programming and/or computer systems analysis. An MS degree in an appropriate area is desirable and may be substituted for up to two years of experience.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or other technical discipline

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in DoD Weapons system evaluation, particularly with radar software
  • Experience with high level programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and/or C++
  • Experience with developing test tools for analysis and assessment of software
