Gerber Technology is seeking a qualified individual to join our multidisciplinary Engineering team.  Use your creativity to innovate, solve problems and design new solutions for Gerber’s next generation of automated systems solutions.  Apply your software skills in a variety of areas including the development of multithreaded applications, graphical user interface design, database development, networking/communications interfaces and process control.  Salary and title commensurate with experience

 

We are seeking a qualified individual to join our multidisciplinary Engineering team.  Use your creativity to innovate, solve problems and design new solutions for Gerber’s next generation of automated systems solutions.  Apply your software skills in a variety of areas including the development of multithreaded applications, process control, real-time programming and motion control.  Salary and title commensurate with experience.

 

Responsibilities

The candidate must possess a software engineering background with experience in the design and development of medium to large scale software systems for the .NET framework. Primary responsibilities include designing, developing, testing and debugging software systems that are built upon the .NET framework.  Develop and maintain design documentation relating to assigned software development tasks.  Participate in design reviews and code reviews.  The ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential.  To be considered for this position, the candidate must be willing to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

  • B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a software development role
  • Familiarity with the software engineering lifecycle
  • Experience developing object-oriented applications in C# and C++ for .NET.
  • Experience with Microsoft’s Visual Studio development tools
  • Strong written and oral communications skills

 The following skills are a plus:

  • Multi-threaded application development
  • Exposure to Design Patterns
  • Unit testing and test-driven development
  • WCF, WPF and Windows Workflow Foundation
  • Experience developing Windows-based applications using MFC
  • SQL
  • Experience with embedded systems in an RTOS environment
  • Windows CE
