What you'll do:
- Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g.automated testing, code reviews, and writing beautiful, readable code).
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing applications.
- Integrate into 3rd Party API's
- Work closely with product managers to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Learn a ton in a small startup team!
- Java/Spring Boot
- AWS
- PostgreSQL
- Terraform
- Interact with Front-End team using React, JavaScript, and CSS
- Proven experience in Java (or other JVM-based) development.
- Knowledge of software engineering process frameworks and software lifecycle management.
- Experience/Willingness to learn - deploying and managing CI/CD tools
- Strong experience with Relational Databases and advanced SQL knowledge
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks and to deliver projects on schedule.
- Strong level of Git usage experience, along with related workflows.
- Experience with AWS and Terraform
- Entrepreneurial spirit. You are self-directed, innovative, and biased towards action in fast-paced environments. You love to build new things and thrive in ambiguity and even failure.
- Excellent communication skills. You partner effectively with teams in a fully remote environment and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Travel industry experience / Global Distribution System (GDS) knowledge very helpful
