 POSITION SUMMARY The Intermediate Software Engineer isresponsible for developing next extensions and building knowledge of our business and expertise within the entire software development lifecycle. With theutilization ofSCRUMAgile methodology, short release cycles, and very close customer involvement, we continuously improve our software, quality, and project deliverables.  An Intermediate SoftwareDeveloper maybe asked to lead smaller projects on their own and/or technically lead smaller projects with the regional development teams. Our culture encourages not only knowledge building and best practicesharing, but also gives the opportunity to provide feedback for continuous improvement. SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY The Intermediate SoftwareDeveloper will participate in reviewing existing solutions and providing recommendations for extensions, customizations and new solutions for our product suite and estimates for our product and client solutions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Work closely withother team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software solutions- Work within setdeadlines and deliver high quality, well unit tested code using prescribed specifications- Review, analyze, and modify existing systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing-Investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions- Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with project technical lead and project managers- Unit test own code, providing low/minimal error rate- Maintain broad knowledge of state-of-the-arttechnology, equipment, and/or systems- Participate in team discussions and develop solutions using best practices- Provide timely technical status reporting to project technical leads- Prepare system documentation, test plans, and deployment plans where/when applicable

Qualifications

 QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or equivalent post-secondary education - 4-7 years of internal and/or related development experience - Strong understanding of coding languages and tools including but not limited to C++  - Solid software engineering foundation with deep skills in Object Oriented Development - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Passion for detail and developing quality software - Hardworking, self-motivated, and passionate about learning and working with the latest technologies - Team player who adapts quickly to ever-changing environments - Experience mentoring junior developers an asset - Knowledge of network is an asset - Payment industry knowledge an asset - NetworkSecurity an asset - HTML5, C#, /.NET an asset - C++ is required
