Montage, the single solution to engage, interview, and hire better candidates, faster is seeking a Software Engineer to join our growing team! The Software Engineer will be responsible for the development of a web based rich media service for the HR/Recruitment industry. This role will continue development of an ASP.NET cloud based web and mobile applications using C#, Web API, jQuery and other web related technologies. This role will be work with architects, a team of software engineers, product managers and designers to drive and implement changes to extend its feature set and improve usability, scalability, performance, and reliability of the product and codebase.

Essential Functions:

Architect:

  • General knowledge of operating systems, network and computer hardware, and IT infrastructures

Design

  • Object-oriented design concepts, programming skills
  • Use client side technologies (CSS, JavaScript) to create lightweight, cross browser/cross platform interfaces using the latest methodologies
  • Experience building and working with web services in a .NET environment
  • Work with service contracts and APIs to integrate 3rd party features and/or services
  • Technical knowledge in software development methodologies, including their design and implementation, particularly internet video, web applications, and OO/SOA.

Plan

  • In-depth understanding of the development process, including specification, documentation, quality assurance, and product support
  • Experience rolling out software updates, including those that might result in database schema or UI changes, without significant impact to the users

Develop

  • Create interfaces that are simple, aesthetic, and user friendly, where code is driven from user experience requirements
  • Work with existing code and re-factor as necessary or appropriate given time and resource constraints.

Required Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering/ development
  • Willingness to learn and use new technologies
  • Working knowledge of relational database theory, Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2012 or later)
  • Working knowledge of web application security design and current secure design and coding practices
  • Experience with SQL database
