Software Engineer, Mid
Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, including processing intensive analytics, developing novel algorithms, and manipulating extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems based on documented requirements. Work individually or as part of a team. Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and document test results. Resolve software problem reports using software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. Provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware and software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS or GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
-7+ years of experience with software development
-Experience with object–oriented programming languages, including Java and scriptinglanguages, such as Python
-Experience with relational databases, including MySQL
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
-Experience with unstructured databases, including Mongo and graph databases, such as Neo4J
-Experience with working in UNIX and Agile environments
-Ability to brief technical topics to non–technical staff
-Ability to gather requirements from project teams and determine priorities
-Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast–paced, highly collaborative, and team–oriented environment and balance long– and short–term taskings
-Ability to exhibit flexibility, initiative, and innovation
-BS degree in an IT– or CS–related field
