PK is actively looking for an Senior SDET who will provide technical automation leadership to our client-based test automation team. The role requires the ability to lead the testing effort for the application team, coordinate testing across multiple applications, teams and locations, identify gaps and suggest improvements. Knowledge areas span the delivery of QA activities such as Test Strategy & Planning, Test Execution & Reporting, Test Environment Management, Test Automation, Test Data Management, to improve testing effectiveness, delivery quality, manage costs, and increase customer satisfaction.
Develop, implement, calibrate, adjust a test strategy for an organization/application team
Create, execute and manage project test plans
Provide leadership to Automation team members as needed
Work with Automation Architect to create and update test frameworks and scripts for automated testing of web and mobile applications, as well as enterprise applications by means of UI testing, API testing, Data validation, etc.
Build, execute and maintain automation scripts within an Agile delivery environment
Generate test reports and dashboards for project team and leadership
Coordinate testing across multiple groups for a product release
Manage and coordinate test environments for complex testing
Design, implement and maintain testing frameworks for automated testing applications supporting various applications and technologies for our clients
Develop, execute and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts within a Test Management or Application Lifecycle Management platform
Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines and execute as part of build process
Understand Customer Requirements and translate them into Technical solutions in a timely way
Idenfity, document, track and manage defects, and work with development teams to replicate, troubleshoot and resolve issues
Work comfortably in a variety of technology landscapes
Understand and represent ProKarma’s automation solutions to client where opportunities arise
Work collaboratively with other teams and team members, onshore and offshore, to design, implement and deliver these solutions
Identify innovation opportunities and work with Account Team and CoE to communicate to client
Implement and delivery on key QA metrics and KPIs for assigned projects
Provide regular Status Reports to Project and CoE Stakeholders
5+ years leading/coordinating complex testing efforts, including working with multiple applications & teams and leading distributed onshore/offshore teams
7+ years designing and implementing Test Automation frameworks and solutions across various technology stacks and applications, including web, mobile, API, data validation
Strong working knowledge & experience in DevOps tool chains and using CI/CD tools like Git, Maven & Jenkins, Azure DevOps
Hands-on proven Java background with experience in writing and debugging automated test scripts to include, knowledge of best practices required for automation
Strong understanding of agile methodologies, continuous integration
Experience with implementing mobile app automation testing frameworks such as Appium, Perfecto or similar
Experience in test frameworks and tools, including (but not limited to): iUnit, TestNG, JMeter/Gatling Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber, Appium, RestAssured/SoapUI, etc.
Comfortable with leading & working in collaboration with the developers to include, working with internal & external teams
Leverages code quality tools and practices to deliver high quality test code within the CI/CD pipeline
Familiarity with implementing automation in methodologies such as TDD, BDD, ATDD and others
7+ years of experience in automation testing in an Agile software development environment (Scrum, Kanban, Kaizen)
At least 5 yrs. experience with database testing and complex SQL query experience, data validation.
IT consulting experience to include, working closely with clients and providing excellent customer service
Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
Self-Starter and proactive with strong written and verbal communication skills
