Quantum Research is currently seeking an experienced candidate to serve as a Senior Software Engineer, aka Sr. Cloud Software Engineer. Responsibilities The ideal candidate will support a cloud migration assessment of the existing 313 NGA Activities along with, designing, testing, implementing, and migrating, each Activity into multiple security level Clouds. This effort will require the analysis of current Activity’s architecture and design, and researching effective and efficient cloud technologies that will allow for a minimally invasive transition to the cloud environment without impacting NGA mission capabilities. Specifically, the candidate will migrate and reconstitute the Activity in the approved cloud architecture. They will configure the cloud resources, transfer the software to the resources, and reconstitute the application in the cloud, including all interfaces to other systems. Candidate may assist with the transfer of data to the cloud architecture and implement the conditioning strategy and architecture developed and approved by the customer. The candidate will use agile and development and operations (DevOps) methods to migrate the application as quickly and efficiently as possible. The migration shall ensure that functional, performance, and security requirements are satisfied. The candidate may be required to research, evaluate, recommend, and implement (if approved by the customer) additional DevOps and cloud migration tools and technologies to automate build, deployment, and validation pipelines to enhance the speed and efficiency of the cloud migration. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree with twelve (12) or more years’ experience. Individual should be knowledgeable of the NGA domain

Experience with C, C++, and Java

Experience with refactoring applications

Experience with software architecture, design, and testing

Experience with DevOps, DevOps Tooling and the DevOps Testing

Experience with Cloud Computing and Infrastructure as Code

Experience with Git and version control methods

Experience with Docker, containerization, Dockerfiles, and Dockerhub

Experience with Chef, configuration management, and recipes

Experience with release management tools and techniques
