Responsibilities In this position you will be required to work withothers from both the development and program management disciplines on designing, implementing, and porting platform level abstractions and features, across a variety of different hardware, which will be leveraged by the rest of the OS. Strong design skills and the ability to learn quickly will be important in bringing up new and complex device classes. You will also need to work closely with internal and external partners to ensure that OS abstractions are flexible while remaining simple. You will need to improve and monitor telemetry to assess the health of the product in both pre-release as well as released software, using this data to drive improvements into the quality of the product. Excellent communication and cross group collaboration skills will be needed to find solutions that are favorable to multiple teams.
• A minimum of 1years developing and shipping kernel-mode software.
• Strong working knowledge of C and solid kernel debugging skills.
• Attention to detail and a passion for quality. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with the Windows kernel or HAL is highly desirable.
