Information Services is seeking a Software Engineer II to join their Business Intelligence Team. Our team collaborates with customers on data solutions; focusing on real-time and Batch based data processing centered around data extracts, reporting and analytics. We take an end to end design approach; development and implementation, starting from requirements to the end user reports and analytics.
Bachelor's degree required. Associate's degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the Bachelor's degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section). Four (4) years of directly related work experience may also substitute for the Bachelor's degree (in addition to the requirements listed in the Experience section).
This person will be expected to have a solid understanding of the Company's data model and the ability to design solutions and processes which combine disparate data into meaningful reporting and analysis that can be easily understood by our clinical and business customers. This person must have the ability to understand complex data relationships and business requirements and formulate efficient and reliable solutions to difficult problems.
The Software Engineer II must have a sound understanding of BI best practices, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse implementation and reporting techniques. The Software Engineer II will also be developing, supporting and implementing solutions by: creating data models and reports, monitoring and tuning queries and ETL data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issues.
They will also assist in the assessment and planning for appropriate BI solutions that best fit current and future business requirements that are consistent with Orlando Health's strategic goals. They will work closely with other IT counter parts as well as Corporate clinical service lines to support the front end and back end reporting and analytic needs. The Software Engineer II is responsible for daily operations and keeping the lights on as well actively participating on strategic projects and on-call rotations.
