Job Description: Participate in requirement gathering and technical design discussions. Design highly scalable and high performing technology solutions for an Oracle Retail Merchandising platform. Provide technical knowledge and guidance to the Oracle Retail development team on applications like Oracle Retail Merchandising System (ORMS/RMS), Oracle Retail Integration Bus (ORIB/RIB), Oracle Retail Sales Audit (OReSA/ReSA) and technologies like PL/SQL, UNIX shell scripting, Pro*C, Datastage, and more. Design and develop new integrations between the Oracle Retail applications and Gap’s in house applications and the third party applications. Enhance the existing integrations by redesigning them to leverage the latest technologies and techniques in the IT industry. Work closely with production support team and assist in resolving critical production issues. Work closely with the business and functional professionals and help simplify and improve the processes through the latest in technology and automation. Be updated on the latest offerings in technology and methodology in the market and perform proof of concepts to better understand how they fit into the Gap landscape and their usefulness and effectiveness to the organization if adopted.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology or related field and five years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in job offered or related occupation.
Experience and/or education must include:
1.5 years of experience with Oracle Retail Applications: RMS/ORMS, ReSA/OReSA, SIM, and RIB/ORIB;
2.5 years of experience with PLSQL, SQL, Pro*C, Shell Scripting, Oracle Forms and Reports, and Performing Tuning;
3.5 years of experience with data conversion from Non-Oracle Retail Systems ant lower versions of Oracle Retail to the latest Oracle Retail systems and map business requirements; and
4.5 years of experience with ETL and Integration Tools to Integrate Oracle Retail Systems with retailer’s in- house and Non-Oracle systems.
