Summary:

Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements software programming applications. This may include utility, development or diagnostic software. Participate in the testing process through test plan development, test review and analysis, test witnessing and software certification. Interfaces with internal client groups to understand all planned projects and meet project schedule deadlines. To perform this job successfully, an individual should extensive computer skills. Knowledge of object-oriented software development required. Experience with C++, HTML and the Linux OS preferred. Experience with PLC's a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Creates software designs that satisfy product requirements as outlined in the product specification and resolves design problems.

Translate and implement Engineering product structure and configuration rules into the software.

Interface with multiple stakeholders, which may include end users, customers, marketing, consultants and engineers in the design as well as the performance of the software. Establish the user interface requirements to assure ease of use and friendliness of the application.

Assist in the resolution of errors found in the software through troubleshooting/problem-solving.

Use modern software engineering techniques to develop modular object-oriented software that meets the product requirements. Maintains documentation in order for resulting software to be easily understood by others.

Develop and maintain project plan and schedule, including resource planning to meet objectives and communicate to management changes and/or delays. Resolve schedule or resource conflicts as required. May assign and direct the workload of available team resources, including progress/status meetings as necessary.

Prepare and execute software testing plans to ensure quality and accuracy. Assure that designs meet safety requirements and all applicable industry and/or Daikin standards.

Communicate informational deadlines with all affected departments to ensure project schedules are maintained and software is released on time.

Works with other functional groups in order to develop tests that simulate the requirements of the customers. Evaluates test data and makes software revisions to solve identified problems.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (Technical, Scientific or Engineering) from four-year college or university. Experience requirements may vary according to functional assignment: 1 to 7 years of related experience.
