Datasite is a growing organization with products that aid in the mergers and acquisitions process. Several years of unprecedented growth means the organization needs to be more agile than ever, and we seek to hire talented engineers who look forward to tackling challenging problems through the use of new and innovative technology. The organization utilizes a Microservices architecture with multiple web and mobile applications. While Java makes up the core application code, Kotlin, Groovy, and Node.js also appear heavily throughout the backend codebase; the frontend utilizes both Angular and React frameworks. MongoDB holds most of the application data for the organization. As a Platform Engineer, you will be a member of our data team. You will be expected to lead development efforts, develop platform code standards, and review code, but you should also expect to spend significant time with the application’s data and help formulate data governance standards.Requirements• Experience designing and maintaining MongoDB solutions, including but not limited to indexes, performance/query tuning, and aggregation.• Strong understanding of Java and/or Kotlin, familiarity with Groovy• RESTful API design• 3+ years of meaningful experience in product or large scale web appdevelopment• Development within a Microservices architecture• Experience working with RabbitMQ• Experience with unit testing tools such as Junit, Mockito, Spock• Experience mentoring technical team membersNice to HaveExperience with a data warehouses and data martsSkills with SnowflakeExperience with KafkaFamiliarity with JenkinsPrevious experience with MongoDB Atlas and TerraformFull stack development experienceInterestsFascination with data and data integrationsClean code standardsExperimenting with new and emerging technology
