The Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and test of Microsoft Windows desktop software for GE's Flight Management System Database products. In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute, with guidance from engineering leadership, the design, development, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
  • May be responsible for the creation of an entire product
  • Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
  • Communicate with direct team and supervisor
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Present to internal teams on metrics, project status and research Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering
  • Minimum of 2years ofexperiencein Software Development

  • Experience authoring software requirements, test cases, and test procedures
  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Knowledge of flight management systems
