About the Role

We are looking for an engineer to build our real-time data communication infrastructure and platforms to enable Nuro’s fully connected fleets. Our Fleet Infrastructure engineers work on the tech stack across the cloud as well as our robots to build reliable, efficient, and scalable logging, streaming, offloading, and management services and APIs for making our fleets data usable, which is essential and foundational to the advancement of our entire AV software development and to enable scalable fleet operations.

About the Work

• Design and develop software stack for Nuro’s real-time fleet data services
• Provide design, development, and debug support for integrating individual functions into scalable and unified frameworks targeted for fullstack diagnostic and analytical solutions
• Develop test and validation programs to ensure robustness of system architecture and data flows
• Integrate with partner teams and internal data consumers to realize the projects
• Provide design guidance and technical mentorship for junior engineers

About You

• 4+ years industrial experience with large-scale distributed data systems
• Strong proficiency in C++, Python or similar languages
• Ability to turn high-level requirements into a detailed, cohesive system design
• Knowledge of network security protocols such as TLS/SSL
• You have start-up DNA: You have demonstrated an ability to thrive in the ambiguity of a dynamic, start-up environment or have the DNA to do so
• You possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a c related field

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of TCP/IP and network programming
• Experience with low level system & framework design
• Robotics experience, ML inference optimization experience, computer architecture experience
