Flatirons Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Software Developer for our Engineering Operations Organization in beautiful Boulder, CO. Join us as we employ world-class software engineering practices to solve complex Content Lifecycle Management (CLM) problems in some of the most interesting problem spaces in industry today. Our solutions are used in a wide range of functions within these organizations, and include: flight operations manuals, data archiving, and other workflow, documentation and maintenance products.

As a Software Developer, you will:

  • Be part of a team of 2-5 developers working to install, configure, customize and integrate our CLM solutions for customers across a broad range of industries, including aviation, aerospace manufacturing, healthcare, and financial
  • Consult with team members and customers to ensure project success, including:
    • Understanding requirements
    • Estimating your work timeline to manage your deliverables
    • Supporting project leadership with architectural and design input
  • Employ Agile/Test Driven Development (TDD) best practices:
    • Work with Tech Lead to break down your assigned user stories into tasks
    • Write and test user stories
    • Write code to implement requirements in a TDD process
    • Refactor code to improve quality
    • Track your work in JIRA or other task management software

We’d like to talk to you if you have:

  • Developed software using Agile Scrum methodology
  • Ability to work independently, think on your feet and brainstorm with the customer, triage issues and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Developed Java based server side solutions such as JEE and Spring
  • Developed solutions using XML technologies such as XSLT, XSL-FO, XPath, XQuery
  • Experience with JavaScript, AngularJS, Spring Data, Docker, relational databases
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • Aerospace documentation experience with any of the following alphabet soup acronyms: EOs, AMMs, CMMs, ATA 100, RNS, IPL, iSpec 2200, S-1000D, etc. is a plus
