We are seeking a qualified individual to join our multidisciplinary Engineering team. Use your creativity to innovate, solve problems and design new solutions for Gerber’s next generation of automated systems solutions. Apply your software skills in a variety of areas including the development of multithreaded applications, process control, real-time programming and motion control. Salary and title commensurate with experience.


Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and debug real-time embedded software systems that are built upon the Windows CE.NET framework. Develop and maintain design documentation relating to assigned software development tasks. Participate in design reviews and code reviews. To be considered for this position, the candidate must be willing to occasionally travel domestically and internationally.
Qualifications

B.S. (M.S. preferred) in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a real-time software development role
Experience developing software in C++
Experience with real-time software development for Windows CE.NET
Experience with object-oriented design and OO design tools
Familiarity with the software engineering lifecycle and configuration management
Strong written and oral communications skills
The ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential.

The following skills are a plus:

Exposure to Design Patterns
Unit testing and test-driven development
Experience with Microsoft’s Visual Studio development tools
Experience with EtherCAT or other distributed controls solutions
Experience developing motion control software
Experience with rapid prototyping of hardware/software systems
Experience developing software in C#

Experience with MATLAB
