Position Description

The candidate accepted for this position will collaborate with experts in high performance computing development, architecture and administration to create a new cloud based tool for the customer. We are looking for a software engineer with a background in continuous integration support who can demonstrate the following on their resume:

Proficiency developing in the C programming language
Proficiency with Python scripting
Experience with the CMake build system
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
Demonstrated experience developing software in a Unix environment
Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining a CI/CD pipeline
Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as Puppet, SaltStack, and Ansible
Experience with Jenkins automation server
Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes

The mission of this specific task is to maintain and enhance the Continuous Integration system for existing projects within HPCCAT. Add new high performance computers to the systems as they are delivered. Conduct initial triage of build failures and file support tickets for the respective projects, if applicable.

Qualifications

This position requires a TS/SCI w/Poly.

Candidates applying to the software engineer level 3 labor category need to meet the qualifications below, but the customer will consider candidates with less experience for lower level positions. Please apply even if you don't meet the experience levels below.

Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

Nine (9) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
